I am a maker of hand printed, limited edition prints and books. I aim to make and sell work directly to the public as well as through galleries and exhibitions.
My work falls into two main areas. The creation of single images, based around different themes, and the creation of handmade books which are long term projects taking months or even years to produce.
With the single images, I explore social concerns either in black and white or using my love of colour. I have also developed abstract images using texture and pattern. These works are printed in small editions of 10 - 20, and are available for purchase. They can be seen in the Galleries section.
Book Works is where you will find the second element to my print making. I print small, exclusive editions of handmade books. My long term aim is to attract a commercial publisher to allow my works to become more generally accessible.
Working in book format has become a great passion and stimulated my interest in the narrative form. The telling of stories in pictures now occupies most of my time and the absorbing nature of engraving seems to match this bizarre, impractical, monk-like activity!
